Frequently Asked Questions

What links does Pindl support?

Public pin links on any Pinterest domain and pin.it short links. Boards, profiles and secret pins are not supported yet.

Do I need to create an account?

No. It's a free, login-free tool.

Where do the files come from?

Directly from Pinterest's own media servers. Pindl does not host or store any downloads.

Why do I see more than one file?

Many pins have several versions (original image, high-res copy, MP4 clip, HLS stream). Pick the one that matches your use.

What does an HLS stream (.m3u8) mean?

It's how Pinterest delivers some videos (like Netflix). If no MP4 is offered for your pin, the HLS stream can be opened with tools like VLC or a browser extension.

Is downloading Pinterest content legal?

Downloading is fine for your own use when content is public. Republishing or reselling someone's work without permission is not — respect creator rights.
